Welcome to The Gathering Hall. We built TassandraInk to be a quiet parlor—a sanctuary where readers and writers can step away from the noise of the world and connect over the magic of ink.
Sharing your writing requires deep vulnerability. To protect that vulnerability and maintain the peace of the sanctuary, we require all kindred spirits to abide by these House Rules. Members who use our community features accept these Guidelines alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Lead with Kindness and Respect
Treat every member as a fellow artist. When interacting in the forums, keep your tone supportive and constructive.
- Feedback: Only offer constructive critique if the writer specifically asks for it. If they are just sharing to be heard, simply listen and encourage them.
- No Harassment: We have a zero-tolerance policy for personal attacks, bullying, or intimidation.
2. Protect the Work (Zero Tolerance for Plagiarism)
A writer's words are their own. Never copy, steal, or repost another member's poetry, prose, or ideas outside of this sanctuary without their explicit, written permission. If you quote a fellow member within the site, always credit them.
3. Maintain the Sanctuary (No Hate Speech or Harmful Content)
This is a safe space for all kindred spirits. We strictly prohibit:
- Hate speech, racism, sexism, or discrimination of any kind.
- Content that encourages violence or self-harm.
- Explicitly graphic or inappropriate imagery.
4. Keep the Space Clean (No Spam)
The Gathering Hall is for connection, not solicitation. Please do not spam the forums with links to external products, aggressive self-promotion, or irrelevant content.
5. Enforcement of the House Rules
As the Steward of this space, TassandraInk reserves the right to moderate all community areas, including The Gathering Hall, Kindred Voices, the Community Scrolls, The Guestbook, and the Game Room.
These House Rules also apply to interactive Game Room communication, including literary duel chat. Respectful, kind conduct is expected in all competitive and interactive features, just as it is in the forums.
- If a post or reply violates these guidelines, it may be hidden or removed. Depending on the violation, we may issue a warning, hide the content, or both, and we keep a record of moderation actions taken.
- Submissions to The Guestbook and the Community Scrolls are held for review and do not appear publicly until a moderator approves them. Pending or declined submissions are not visible to other members.
- If a member repeatedly violates these rules, or commits a severe violation (such as plagiarism or harassment), their account and membership may be permanently terminated without a refund.
6. Report a Concern
If you see a post or receive a message that violates these guidelines or makes you feel unsafe, please report it. The quickest way is to use the report button beside the reply, thread, or duel message in question. You can also reach us through our Contact Page. We will handle every report privately and swiftly.
