Acceptance

By creating an account or using TassandraInk, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your Account

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your password secure. TassandraInk accounts and paid subscriptions are available only to adults 18 years of age or older. When you register, you confirm that you are 18 or older. This is a self-declaration; we do not verify your age or collect your date of birth. Account features, the free trial, AI tools, community participation, and checkout are not available until you confirm. Public reading content remains available without an account. If you sign up with Google, you will be asked to confirm after you sign in; this does not prevent your Google account from being created and does not verify your age.

Your Content and Processing Permission

You retain ownership of all writing and comments you submit to TassandraInk. You must have the rights or permission needed to submit your content, including any third-party material it contains. You grant TassandraInk a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, display, and moderate your content as necessary to provide the services you request. This includes displaying your approved comments and community posts to other readers, storing your drafts and revision history, and reviewing your content for moderation.

When you use the Revision Desk or Writing Studio, your submissions are processed through service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Private drafts are not publicly licensed or automatically published. Sharing your writing in the community always requires an explicit action from you.

Deletion and Access

You can delete your drafts from the portfolio page, your comments from the comment area, and your community posts and replies from the community pages. You can request deletion of your revision history or your account through our contact form. Cancellation or membership expiration does not itself delete your saved writing. Retention and deletion are governed by our Privacy Policy.

Comment and Community Moderation

Comments on Library works, blog posts, lessons, and weekly prompts are reviewed by a moderator before they can be read by others. Comments and community posts or replies from members start in a pending state and become visible only after a moderator approves them. Comments and posts by administrators are approved automatically and appear without waiting for moderation. You can edit your own comments, posts, and replies; a non-admin edit returns the item to pending for re-moderation, while an administrator edit may set the moderation status directly. Moderators can approve, reject, or delete any comment, post, or reply. You can delete your own comments, posts, and replies at any time.

Posting or replying in the Community (Gathering Hall, Laughing Corner, and themed discussions) requires a paid membership; administrators may post without a paid membership. Signed-out visitors may read approved community discussions and free content, but cannot comment, post or reply. Signed-in, age-confirmed free members may comment on free content; trial and paid members may also comment on premium content while their access is active. Administrators have premium and community participation access without a paid subscription, subject to the same age confirmation. Member submissions remain subject to moderation.

You can report a comment you believe violates our guidelines; reporting flags the comment for moderator review but does not remove it automatically. You cannot report your own comment. See our Community Guidelines for the standards that apply.

AI Feedback

The Revision Desk and Writing Studio provide writing guidance. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contain fabricated information, including sources, quotations, or citations that do not exist or are misstated. You must verify facts, quotations, citations, and suitability before relying on any output. These tools are not a guarantee of grades, originality, plagiarism detection, or publication outcomes. Next steps, when provided, are optional possibilities based on the excerpt you submitted, not an assessment of an entire book. You are responsible for your own work and for following any applicable academic or workplace rules.

Membership and Usage Limits

Free visitors receive selected content and a limited Revision Desk sample. The five-day trial requires no card and no charge, expires automatically, and does not convert to a paid plan. The trial includes 3 quick reviews, 1 detailed review, 2 Writing Studio uses, and 5 literary games in total across the trial. Paid plans include 5 quick reviews, 2 detailed reviews, 5 Writing Studio uses, and 10 literary games per day, resetting at midnight UTC for both monthly and annual plans. We do not promise unlimited AI usage. The allowances and the prices stated on the Membership page are the ones the service applies. The daily literary challenge is free: it is one question a day, open to members and visitors alike, and it never uses a game from any allowance.

Billing

Paid plans are billed as follows: Monthly is $14.99 USD, billed every month. Annual is $159.99 USD, billed every year. Each plan is a recurring subscription: it renews automatically at the end of every billing period until you cancel, and each renewal is charged to the payment method you used to subscribe. Payments are processed through Base44 Payments. TassandraInk does not collect or store full payment card numbers. An account holds one active subscription at a time, and checkout will not begin a second one while your subscription is renewing. The prices above are the ones the Membership page states and the ones the service applies. This changes nothing for existing subscribers: existing subscriptions and paid-through access are unaffected, and the free five-day trial remains available, subject to its existing eligibility rules.

Members can cancel using the cancellation controls on the Membership page. Cancellation stops future renewals; your paid access continues through the end of your paid-through date, which is shown on your dashboard and on the Membership page. The recurring price agreed at checkout is your subscription’s renewal rate unless a future change is validly applied. Publishing a new price does not itself reprice an existing subscription. Before changing an affected subscriber’s renewal rate, we will email advance notice stating the new rate and its effective date, allow any notice period and consent required by applicable law, and explain how to cancel before it applies. A notified change may apply only to a renewal on or after that effective date, never retroactively to a paid period; earlier renewals remain at the existing agreed rate. New subscriptions use the price agreed at their own checkout.

Sharing and External Platforms

TassandraInk provides sharing tools so you can share links to approved content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and X, and copy a direct link to your clipboard. These tools are intended for sharing approved public previews, attribution to the author, and links back to the original content on TassandraInk. They do not authorize reproducing complete stories, complete poems, any members-only content, or other protected full works outside the platform. When you share, only the public preview (title, author, excerpt, and link) is included.

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and X are external services operated by their own companies. Most sharing tools open that platform’s share page in a new browser tab. Instagram does not support direct sharing from websites; for Instagram, the app copies the excerpt, author name, and link to your clipboard and shows instructions to paste manually. Each platform operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy, which govern how your post and your data are handled there. TassandraInk is not responsible for the practices of these external platforms.

Books, Reading Previews and Retailer Links

TassandraInk lists books and shows approved reading previews: a short extract, and interior pictures where the publisher or rights holder has approved them. A preview is for reading here. It is not a licence to reproduce the book, and an extract may be quoted only within the limits the law allows, with attribution. Copyright in every book, cover and extract belongs to its author or other rights holder.

Where to find an edition is offered through links to booksellers we do not control. Their stock, prices, editions and terms are theirs and may change, and a listing does not mean that we sell the book, endorse a shop, or guarantee that what arrives matches the listing. An ISBN identifies one edition; other editions of the same title may differ in form, text and price, so buy from the edition you want. A membership gives you the resources here, not a copy of any book.

The Literary Games and Fair Play

The Literary Game Room offers solo literary games. Every game you start uses one game from the allowance described above; a game that fails to start costs nothing, and continuing a game you already have open does not use a second one. Your level in a game is decided by the service from your own recent play, and the service also decides the questions, the answers and the score. You agree to play in good faith: not to manipulate a score, not to attempt to bypass the allowance or any other limit, and not to use automated means to play on your behalf. Scores, levels and results are recorded in your account so you can return to them.

Your level is worked out for you rather than chosen from a list. The service reads up to your five most recent rounds in the relevant game category and offers the level they indicate; finishing a round does not automatically guarantee advancement. Levels are adaptive recommendations, not permanent unlocks, and you may play that level or one step either side of it. The two kinds of game — the question games and the word games — stand at their own level and move separately, and a level can fall as well as rise when play goes differently. Nothing already earned is lost when a level moves: your scores, personal bests, badges and history are kept, and every round keeps the level it was played at. Word Scramble uses the word-category difficulty; Word Challenge retains its fixed eight-letter, sixty-second format and its measured results inform that category.

Questions are generated or drawn from a curated bank and are checked before they are served, but a literary question can still be wrong. If you believe an answer is incorrect, tell us through our contact form. If play is interrupted by a technical failure, a game that never began is not counted against you; where a failure occurs after play has begun, use the contact form and we will restore the game where we can.

Every game has its own rules, and they are published in the Game Room’s own guide, How to Play. The guide describes the room as it is: the six solo games one by one, the Literary Duel, Story Weavers, Literary Tournaments, the Showcase, My Progress and the leaderboards, and how the level you are offered is decided. Each game’s rules sit on that page under the game’s own heading, and the How to play link on a game card opens the same page.

Story Weavers is written by two members together. Each writer keeps the copyright in their own contributions, and every contribution stays with the name of the writer it belongs to. A story is not publicly listed and is accessible to its two writers and authorized administrators for operation, support and moderation. If both writers separately consent and a moderator approves it, it may appear in the Showcase for signed-in, age-confirmed readers; either writer may take their agreement back at any time, and the story leaves the Showcase at once. Do not add another person’s words to a shared story without their permission, and do not write anything you do not have the right to write. Writing together does not transfer ownership of either writer’s contributions. Showcase readers may report a story for moderator review; reporting alone does not remove it. Normal writing controls do not allow turns to be overwritten or deleted. Account deletion and privacy requests involving shared stories are reviewed under the Privacy Policy, respecting both contributors’ rights and applicable retention obligations, without a promise of permanent retention or automatic complete deletion.

Literary Tournaments and the leaderboards are read from rounds the service has already scored and verified. A tournament is settled by the scoring rules published with it, and a leaderboard shows only members who have switched ranking on themselves and left their scores shareable. Stepping away from a tournament keeps every round you played.

The Literary Duel

The Literary Duel is a two-player game. You offer a challenge to the room or invite one member by name, and one other member accepts it. Both players answer the same five questions, each question timed by the service, and each player is scored on their own answers. The level, the questions, the time allowed, the verdicts and both scores are decided by the service and not by either player. A round opens only when both players have begun.

A duel uses one game from each player’s own allowance, and that game is taken only at the moment the round begins. A duel that never begins — an offer nobody accepts, an invitation that lapses, or a start that fails — costs neither player anything, and any game already set aside for it is returned. A duel that does begin and is then abandoned counts as a game played, in the same way an abandoned solo game does. A free trial allows two of its five games to be duels; a paid membership has no separate duel allowance.

Play your own round. Do not collude with an opponent to manipulate a score, do not attempt to bypass the allowance or any time limit, and do not use automated means to play on your behalf. You may dismiss an invitation, snooze or switch off invitations, and block another member; a blocked member is not told that you have blocked them, and neither of you will be matched with the other. A rematch is played only when both players ask for one.

Your Progress and Your Literary Profile

Playing a game records a round in your account: which game it was, the level you played, your score, how many answers were right, how many answers or words were tried, and the date. From those records we show you your own totals, accuracy, streaks, personal bests, badges, recent rounds and the game allowance still standing. Badges are awarded from your own play and, once earned, are kept.

Your progress is private by default. It is not shown to anyone else unless you choose to make your literary profile public, and even then you decide separately whether your badges, your bests and totals, and your recent rounds are shared. You can change any of those choices, or make the profile private again, at any time, and a profile made private stops being readable at once. A public profile shows the display name and biography you chose and nothing else: never your email address or your internal account id. For moderation and support, administrators can see the same records.

The daily literary challenge is free and open to visitors as well as members. A visitor’s answer is shown back to them and recorded nowhere; a member’s answer is recorded once for the day, and it never uses a game from the allowance.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TassandraInk to post or submit unlawful content, infringe intellectual property or other rights, harass or abuse others, attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems, or attempt to bypass access, moderation, or usage limits. Violations may result in proportionate moderation or account restrictions, including removal of content, suspension of posting, or account termination. Any restrictions affecting paid access or refunds remain subject to these Terms, our Subscription, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and applicable law.

Service Availability and Limitation of Liability

TassandraInk and its AI tools are provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the service or any AI feature will be available, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times. To the extent permitted by applicable law, TassandraInk is not liable for outcomes based on AI feedback or for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. These Terms do not exclude any liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law. Your writing and your use of the service are your responsibility.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms here with an updated date. Where a change affects membership prices or renewal, we post the new prices on the Membership page and notify affected subscribers by email before the change applies to them.
