Our Community Values
TassandraInk is a welcoming space for adult writers and students aged 18 and older, at every level of experience. We treat each other with kindness, respect, and encouragement.
Respect and Constructive Feedback
- Be respectful in all discussions, replies, and comments.
- Offer specific, constructive feedback. Discuss the writing respectfully and avoid personal attacks.
- Celebrate diverse voices, dialects, and backgrounds.
- Disagree with ideas, not with people.
Prohibited Conduct
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or personal attacks.
- No spam, repeated posting, or promotional content unrelated to writing.
- No disclosing another person's private information, including real names, contact details, or location, without their consent.
Original Content
Share writing you own or have permission or another lawful basis to share. Clearly attribute quotations and keep them limited to what is appropriate for the discussion. Do not copy complete protected works or publish another person's private writing without authorization. Do not present someone else's work as your own.
Sensitive Content
Literary discussion may address mature themes respectfully. Do not post sexually explicit material, graphic depictions of violence, content promoting violence or exploitation, or sexual content involving minors. Add a brief content note when sharing non-graphic writing involving sensitive themes such as abuse, grief, or violence.
Sharing Writing
Private drafts are not automatically published to the community. You choose what text to submit for sharing. Approved community content is visible to readers with access to the community. Avoid posting information you want to keep confidential. Other readers may copy or share public content, and deleting your post cannot remove copies made outside TassandraInk.
Moderation and Approval
Submissions from non-admin users start pending and appear after moderator approval. Administrator submissions are approved automatically. Non-admin edits return content to pending review. Moderators may approve, reject, or remove content under these guidelines.
Proportionate restrictions for violations, including removal of content, suspension of posting, or account termination, remain subject to our Terms, Subscription Policy, and applicable law.
Reporting a Comment
If you see a comment that you believe violates these guidelines, sign in and use the flag button next to the comment to report it. You can include an optional reason. Reporting flags the comment for moderator review; it does not remove the comment immediately. You cannot report your own comment. For community posts and replies that do not have a flag button, use our contact form and include the post title and the issue.
Content Comments vs Community Participation
Using account participation features requires an 18+ confirmation. Signed-in, age-confirmed readers may comment on content they are entitled to access. Premium comments require premium access. Starting or replying to community discussions requires paid membership or administrator access. Signed-out visitors may read approved community discussions and free content but cannot comment, post or reply. Signed-in, age-confirmed free members may comment on free content. Trial and paid members may also comment on premium content while their access is active; trial members cannot create community posts or replies. Administrators may comment and participate without a paid subscription, subject to age confirmation.
The Laughing Corner
The Laughing Corner is for lighthearted, writing-related humor. Keep it kind and inclusive. No humor at another person's expense.
Playing Fair in the Game Room
The literary games are played for pleasure and for practice. Play under your own account, take the level you are offered, and let the service score what you answer. Do not manipulate a score, do not try to bypass the game allowance or any other limit, and do not use automated tools to play for you. If you believe a question or an answer is wrong, tell us through our contact form rather than working around it.
In the Literary Duel you are playing against another member, so the same courtesy applies to them. Play your own round and let the clock run: do not stall a round to frustrate an opponent, do not play under more than one account to arrange a match with yourself, and do not collude with another member to manipulate a score. A member is free to decline, dismiss, snooze or switch off invitations, and free to block another member; a block is private, and nobody is entitled to an explanation for one. Use the challenge for play, not to press an invitation on someone who has made clear they do not want it.
In Story Weavers each writer owns their own contributions; collaboration does not transfer that ownership. Write your own turns and leave your partner's turns as written: the normal writing controls do not allow turns to be overwritten, reordered or deleted. Stories are not publicly listed and are accessible to their writers and authorized administrators for operation, support and moderation. Account deletion and privacy requests are reviewed under the Privacy Policy, respecting both contributors’ rights and applicable retention obligations; neither permanent retention nor automatic complete deletion is promised. Do not offer a story you have no right to write, do not add anyone else's words to it without their permission, and do not share a story publicly in your own name, here or anywhere else, without the other writer's agreement. A story is shown in the Showcase to signed-in, age-confirmed readers only while both writers agree and a moderator has released it; either writer can take their agreement back at any time, which removes it from the Showcase. A story offered to the Showcase should be one you would be glad to see under your own name: your own words, nothing unlawful, hateful or misleading, and nothing that misuses another person’s work or identity. If something in the Showcase concerns you, report it to a moderator rather than settling it in the comments: a report flags the story for moderator review without automatically removing it, and the moderator may keep it available or hold it back, and a report raised in bad faith is itself a breach of these guidelines.
In a literary tournament, play the rounds yourself and let the service score them: standings are read only from rounds the server has already scored, so nothing is won by a claim, and stepping away keeps the rounds you played. Leaderboards are read from the same verified rounds and show only members who chose to be ranked — a ranking is a record of play, not a standing in the community, so do not copy another member's figures elsewhere or use a ranking to single anyone out.
Achievements are personal rather than competitive: a badge records what someone has played and does not itself rank members; separate leaderboards rank only members who opt in. Progress is private unless its owner chooses to share it, and if a member makes their literary profile public, treat it with the same courtesy as anything else here — do not copy it, and do not use it to single anyone out.
