Writing Tools
Practical springboards for drafting. You keep the pen.
Each one works either from your idea or from a scene you paste. Nothing is applied to your writing automatically.

Five premises for your chosen writing type, each with a short note on what makes it compelling.
Create a structured outline for a story, essay or poem.
Use it to see the shape of a piece before or after drafting.
Story: opening, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution. Essay: thesis, body paragraphs with evidence, conclusion. Poem: stanzas with thematic progression. Paste a scene and it works from the characters, setting and events already in your draft, marking anything it adds as optional.
Generate or develop character profiles, up to five at a time.
Use it to explore a cast, or to deepen a character already in your scene.
Name, age, description, key trait and motivation. Every invented detail is labelled optional, and when it works from your scene it records that character’s established actions as you wrote them.
Find and extend the sensory texture of a scene.
Use it when a scene feels thin or distant.
Sight, sound, smell, touch and taste, separated into "From the draft" and "Optional additions (not in the draft)", so invented detail is never presented as something you wrote.
Suggest stronger word choices in your own passage.
Use it when a line feels flat and you want options, not a rewrite.
Suggestions only where a genuinely better alternative exists. Each one quotes your exact word or phrase and explains why it helps, and regional and cultural language is preserved rather than standardised. This is word choice, not grammar checking.
An optional three-to-five sentence springboard when you are stuck.
Use it to get moving again, then make the writing your own.
A continuation that follows your tone, style and established details. It is presented as AI-generated suggestion and is never applied to your writing on its own: saving is always your own action, and saved work becomes a new version.
Member allowances reset at midnight UTC and apply equally to monthly and annual members. Your remaining allowance is always shown inside the Studio, and prices are listed on the membership page.

No. Five of the six tools produce material for you to react to: ideas, structure, characters, sensory detail and word choices. Continue Passage offers a three-to-five sentence springboard when you are stuck, clearly presented as AI-generated, and it is never applied to your writing without your action.
No. Saving to your portfolio creates a new version alongside what you already have, and your original text is preserved.
The tools are instructed to preserve your voice, dialect and regional language rather than standardise them. When working from your draft, they are told to use the details actually present in your text and to label anything invented as optional.
Ignore it. These are suggestions, not corrections, and nothing is applied automatically. If a tool repeats a detail that is not in your draft, treat it as a prompt to check rather than a fact.
All six count against the same Writing Studio allowance. The trial includes two uses in total, and monthly and annual members receive five uses per day.
